MEET THE TEAM

At Wyong Little Learners, our educators have a shared passion for providing a nurturing, exciting and stimulating learning environment for the children.

Karen

Centre Director – Early Childhood Teacher

I am very proud to be the director of Wyong Little Learners and with my team we have created a wonderful centre over the past 9 years. I want to create an environment in which families feel welcome, supported and included. I will support my team of dedicated early childhood professionals in creating an environment that allows children to enjoy, grow and thrive. Our educators are the key to providing the highest quality care and education.

All children have an identity that belongs to this world. An identity that becomes this world.

Amy

Diploma of Children’s Services

I believe the children are different in their own ways and as an educator it is my job to allow them to be who they wish to be and help them grow into what they wish. I believe it is my job to ensure that the children feel safe and supported whilst they are in my learning environment and that I provide them with the guidance and the experiences to allow them to grow.

Sarah

Diploma of Children’s Services

It is my strong belief that before a child can being to learn they first need to feel safe, secure and supported. My goal as an educator is to form secure attachments with all children in my care and to provide a warm, nurturing and safe environment where each child feel’s they belong.

Renae

Early Childhood Teacher

I believe the early years of a child’s life sets the foundation for lifelong learning; it is through collaborative partnerships with the children and their families that is a fundamental resource in building secure and respectful relationships whilst ensuring learning takes place in an environment that feels safe, secure and supported reacting holistically to children’s strengths.

Renee

Early Childhood Teacher

I believe that building strong attachments with young children is the first step in developing a love for learning and discovery. I love having conversations and discussions with children to understand their personalities and discover what they already know and what they’re excited to learn more about.

Erin

 Diploma of Children’s Services

Within my role as an early childhood educator, I aim to witness the growth and development of each child. I provide a loving, caring, safe and homelike environment that is warm and welcoming. I aim to be inclusive of all cultures, nationalities and family backgrounds. I believe all children are equal and unique in their own ways.

Hayley

Diploma of Children’s Services

As a childhood educator, I believe each child is unique and has their own ways of developing. We as educators need to find the balance between educator-directed and child-initiated experiences. I believe in the inclusion of all children, no matter the background or additional need. I am very passionate about sustainability in a child’s development. I believe by taking smaller steps now and teaching the children how to be sustainable, we can shape a better, greener future.

Brittany

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

I believe the best quality of care should and always be provided to each individual child. It’s important to enable children to have a nurturing, positive, fun environment ensuring ongoing learning experiences and resources are always available for each child’s
developmental needs

Jeremy

Diploma of Children’s Services

As a male educator in this predominately female field I feel that I play a special role that female educators cannot provide, that is to be a positive male role model for the children whilst they are in my care. I believe getting down to the children’s level and including yourself into their play experiences results in richer experiences for the children and ultimately creates respectful relationships with the children to allow them to feel safe, secure and supported. All of the children in my care hold a special place in my heart and I don’t think of them as just my job but rather as my friends who I look forward to seeing every day.

Jessica

Kitchen Assistance

It is great to see the variety of food the children are presented with each day. They are exposed to so many different tastes and textures and learn about where the food they are eating comes from.

Kristy

Certificate III in Children’s Services

I believe children should grow and learn at their own pace and in a safe, fun, loving and caring atmosphere. I believe we as educators should provide positive and interesting play-based activities to enrich our learning based on each individual child’s interest.

Karen

Certificate III in Children’s Services

I believe that the children deserve to be happy. I believe that our mood as educators radiates through to the children. Every child deserves to be treated equally.

Keira

Certificate III in Children’s Services

I believe that building relationships with the children and their families plays a huge role in helping both feel comfortable. When I teach, I always keep in mind that each child is different in every way, so my role as an educator is to get to know each individual child well enough to know how to teach them, approach them, nurture them and care for them. Being a childcare worker has been a passion of mine since I was old enough to be able to know what I wanted to pursue as a career and therefore when I arrive at this centre, I see it as being a part of another big family, with both the children and educators.

Michelle

Diploma of Children’s Services

I believe each and every child no matter their race, religion or status, should be treated equally and be provided equal care and education. I believe children can think for themselves in terms of what they want to do. It is our role as educators to provide safe options for children to meet their interests and goals.

Lauren

I believe children need to be valued, loved and encouraged in a home like environment at preschool. I believe in the power of self-expression through providing a variety of stimulating and age appropriate music and art experiences. I believe in teaching children about diversity, differences and respect to encourage peace.

Sandra

Centre Cook – Qualified Nutritionist

I think all children deserve a variety of good, healthy food. It is with great pleasure that I try to meet the requirements of the healthy food recommendations and to introduce children to different foods that they may not necessarily be exposed to outside of our centre.

Emily

Certificate III Early Childhood Education & Care

I believe that each individual child should have the opportunity to learn through the technique that suits them best whether that is play, visual or creative. Children play a vital role in their development as they are the ones who represent what they learn. The children are constantly learning new things all the time, which is why it is important that they receive support from both their families and educators.

Nikki

Diploma of Children’s Services

I envision a child’s play space to be one of fun and adventure that is inclusive to all children as well as provides a challenge to further develop all abilities. I became an early childhood educator to teach, play and learn along side children within this environment. I also believe that the natural environment provides ample learning opportunities and should be used to its full potential.

I strongly believe that every child is capable of learning and developing along their own pathway. As an educator I will strive to form an environment that is supportive of all possible learning and growing chances for the children. I will follow this value day to day because I believe that it is important to always maintain respect within the workplace and while interacting and communicating with children.

Vanessa

Early Childhood Teacher

As a professional early childhood educator, it is my personal belief that children have the right to make choices, work collaboratively with others, explore a safe and nurturing environment, build their own sense of agency and confidence, and create respectful relationships with their peers and other adults in their environment. Children are the architects of their own learning and we are merely their guide. I believe that children learn best through play and our role is to ensure that these experiences are meaningful, authentic and has a touch of fun.

Amber
